According to official data by international experts, almost one quarter of the world’s inhabitants are living in extreme poverty. More than 70% of the Ukrainian population is considered poor.
Our mission
Answering the needs of these people in the CIS countries – Emmanuel Charity Association in Kiev came into operation in 1992 with the official affiliation of Operation Blessing International.
Our mission is to touch people’s hearts, answer their needs and give them hope by showing the love of Christ.
For 14 years we have been caring for the children of orphanages, shelters and boarding schools. We have been rendering assistance to the large families, pensioners and handicapped, people who live below the poverty line. Foodstuffs, clothing, footwear and medicine are vital support for them. We have helped over 500,000 people so far. It is good to think that meeting the vital needs of people one can change their lives.
Steve Weber, the President of the mission in Ukraine says: “We have a message: God loves you, and He has a plan for your life. And we are happy to minister to the Ukrainian people, especially to the children. It is a privilege and happiness. They have great perspectives; we just have to love them and support them till they grow up. Our hearts’ desire is that our work would be a response to the people’s needs.”
