Medical Examination of Orphans from Ivankiv Children’s Home at Kiev Medical Center

Operation Blessing Medical Center in Kiev continues to provide medical aid for the needy Ukrainians. Between 500 and 700 people undergo complete medical examinations and receive free medical aid and medicines every month. Operation Blessing pays special attention to the children living in orphanages and shelters. For such children, qualified medical help is not always available. Besides, the financial support of the state for the medicines is so low that often, children don’t get even basic medicines. In April, 2008, 44 orphans from “Nest” Ivankiv Children’s Home were brought to OB Charitable Medical Center for medical examinations and tests. The kids had possibility to be examined by pediatrician, dentist, ophthalmologist, gynecologist and other doctors.
