It has been more than two years now since Operation Blessing opened its Charitable Medical Center in the city of Kiev that helps needy people from all parts of Ukraine. Only in 2008, 5,570 people were able to undergo free medical examination with the highly professional doctors and receive free medicines for successful treatment. 493 of them prayed the prayer of repentance and received the Lord as their Savior.

Galina Kucher, OB regional director in Ukraine, speaks about the Medical Center, “Our patients are orphans, disabled children, patients of rehabilitation centers for drug addicts and poor people of older age who can’t afford for expensive medical tests and treatment. People from all parts of Ukraine come to our Center for a free medical examination.

Not long ago about 30 people from an orphanage which is situated not far from Kiev were brought to our Charitable Center for a medical examination. Regardless of the fact that all orphanages have their own doctors and nurses, the condition of the children’s health was just terrible. Many of them had lice infestation and scabies that had not been cured for many months! Luckily, all of the children were medically examined, prescribed effective treatment and given free medicines.

We often face situation when pensioners come to us with very grave diseases. They are put in a position where they have to just live with their problems since they have no finances for a very expensive treatment. Very often, we find in these patients grave heart diseases, hyper tension, Diabetes or different tumors. But often we hear from the patients that they come to us not only for a better health but also for a good word.

Besides, due to the support of our Partners, we were able to purchase for our medical needs and professional diagnostics very modern and expensive medical appliances. Not long ago we were also able to buy expensive reagents for complex blood tests for the amount of $1,200. Now we’ll be able to do such blood tests for the needy people for free.

It is worth mentioning, however, that the most important thing in the work that we do is the fact that we can help these people more than physically. When our patience experience very warm and attentive attitude from the doctor and receive very effective medical help, their hearts are being opened towards God! We are thankful to all of the Partners who are helping us in these acts of mercy!”
