    • Since 1995, over 152,000 children attended Christmas and Easter concerts and received gifts from Operation Blessing
    • Since 1998, over 400,000 hot meals and food sets have been distributed among more than 16,000 needy people.
    • Since 2000, over 4,000 children attended Christian summer camps sponsored by Operation Blessing
    • Since 2002, in more than 100 medical outreaches over 35,000 people received free medical consultations and medicines and over 7,000 of them prayed the prayer of repentance.

    Caring For Street Children In Nickolayev “New Life” Social Center

    It has been several years now that Operation Blessings supports the activity of “New Life” social Center for street children in the town of Nickolayev by providing hot meals for the kids during the day. The staff of the Center offers real home atmosphere, possibility to talk to Christians, to take showers and spend time with other kids and, most importantly, they share their love with the children. Many of them have come to the Center to find love and support they can’t have in their own families.

    Bible Lessons Bring People Back to Life

    It has been almost a year since the “Feed the Hungry” project has been working under a new format. Unfortunately, the charity Soup Kitchen sponsored by “Operation Blessing” was closed last April; however, with God’s help we were able to continue the work of the project in a slightly different way. Today many people in the Kiev and Nickolayev regions have a chance to weekly receive food, and more importantly, participate in small group Bible studies at Christian churches. In less than a year we have seen the wonderful fruits of this ministry. Many people who were addicted to alcohol and drugs have come to the Lord and received new life. All the participants of the project are grateful to Operation Blessing for the help given and the new hope they have found.

    «Charity Meals Have Been a Great Help for the People of Yavkino Village…»

    Many people in Ukraine experience hunger under the circumstances of difficult economical situation. It is especially true for the villagers of remote places where the collective farms collapsed and people are left unemployed. The high unemployment rate causes a lot of problems for the people and the gravest one is common alcoholism. As a result – there are many street children in the village. The minister of Yavkino Church, Nickolayev region, have expressed the words of gratitude to the organizers of “Feed the Hungry” project in their village and have said, “Charity meals have been saving people from hunger and cold but also have given them hope for a better future”.

    “Feed the Hungry” Spreads its Ministry

    Only in April this year, when we had to close the Soup Kitchen and start the new format of the project we had no idea whether our work would be successful. Only four months later we can see that it brings much fruit: the project has spread to Kiev, Zhitomir and Nickolayev regions. In the framework of this project, more than 100 people weekly receive food-sets or hot meals.

    Since May 2006, Operation Blessing opened up an opportunity for 90 street and underprivileged children to eat hot meals at “New Life” Social Care Center in Nickolayev.

    “Feed the Hungry” Works in New Format

    Since April 2006, the project “Feed the Hungry” sponsored by Operation Blessing in Ukraine started a new format of work. Unfortunately, due to financial reasons, we had to close the Soup Kitchen that had been successfully feeding and warming needy people for more than 8 years. The prices for the hot meals went up and we were not able to help as many people as we did before. But we are sure that God can turn any unfavorable circumstances into the good and we are still doing our best to care for the underprivileged people and share the Gospel of Christ with them.

    It’s nearly indescribable what Operation Blessing’s Soup Kitchen means to some pensioners, invalids, large families and poor people in Kiev. In short, it speaks volumes about survival – physically with free hot meals and spiritually with the Gospel of Christ.

    OB Soup Kitchen Celebrates its sixth anniversary

    On November 27, 2004, the Emmanuel Charity Association, the representative office of Operation Blessing in Ukraine, celebrated the sixth anniversary of the charitable soup kitchen where as many as 4,000 underprivileged people have had 217,000 free meals for these six years.
