A surgery that changed Sasha Kurysin’s life
Ever since he was a little boy, Sasha Kurysin wanted to be left alone. The other children made fun of him because he had crossed eyes. Sasha hated how he looked, and rarely let anyone take a picture of him. A simple surgery was all he needed, but Sasha was an orphan, and had no money to pay for it.
Sasha shares his memories, “They called me names like “sharpshooter.” It was hard to ignore them. I prayed to God every day and asked Him to help me!”
God answered Sasha’s prayers when Tamara, a woman who works for “Agape Charity Fund” heard about him.
Tamara says, “We saw that Sasha had a need that we could not meet ourselves. So we applied to Operation Blessing. We were sure that through this surgery we could really show him God’s love”.
Operation Blessing took Sasha to one of the best eye clinics in the country, and paid for his surgery. And because God answered his prayer, Sasha gave his life to Christ.
Sasha says, “I fell to my knees and repented before God. And now I can look into people’s eyes without worrying that somebody will call me names. I feel so happy. I am thankful to all of the people who helped me with this surgery. I am so glad. Everything is great and wonderful. Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
